BIOACOUSTIC CORRECTION (BAC)
Neuromodulation based on EEG using acoustic feedback
Bioacoustic correction is a method in which the brain receives information about its own activity in the form of sound. During the procedure, the child listens to a special audio signal generated from their own EEG. This helps the brain gradually “re-tune” its activity and transition to a more stable and balanced state.
The method does not require effort from the child, is comfortable, and well tolerated.
BAC helps to:
Improve attention and concentration
Reduce emotional tension
Stabilize behavior
Improve sleep quality
Enhance learning ability
Target of action
BAC influences fundamental regulatory mechanisms:
- level of cortical activation
- balance between excitation and inhibition processes
- stability of neuronal rhythms
- efficiency of sensory filtering
- integration between functional brain areas
Simply put — the brain begins to function more coherently and efficiently.
Indications
The method is used in children:
- with attention deficit and hyperactivity
- with emotional instability
- with autism spectrum disorders
- with delayed speech development
- with sleep disorders
- with increased anxiety levels
- with sensorimotor disorders
Contraindications
The method is not used in cases of:
- epilepsy with frequent or uncontrolled seizures
- acute psychotic states
- acute illnesses such as fever, infection, or general weakness
- pronounced intolerance to auditory stimuli
Procedure
The child stays in a calm environment.Electrodes are placed on the head to record EEG activity, and then an audio signal based on the current brain activity is delivered through headphones. The procedure does not require active participation, is painless, and well tolerated.
Expected effects
- reduction of internal tension
- improved attention stability
- better behavioral regulation
- emotional stabilization
- improved sleep quality
- enhanced learning ability
Changes are gradual and noticeable in the child’s daily functioning.
Role in complex therapy
BAC increases the effectiveness of other methods:
- speech therapy
- kinesitherapy
- sensorimotor therapy
- neuromodulation methods
First, brain regulation is stabilized, and then the effect is reinforced through active therapy.
Safety
The method:
- is non-invasive
- is based on physiological feedback
- does not exert direct external influence on the brain
- is conducted under specialist supervision
Essence of the method
BAC is not stimulation, but controlled self-regulation of the brain through feedback.
